Wales is a fantastic family holiday destination with three National Parks and beautiful Blue Flag beaches. There's actually so much to see and do it's difficult to cram it all into one break, so perhaps deciding the style of holiday and accommodation is your best starting point.

After an extensive refurbishment The Swan at Hay hotel officially celebrated its new look in February 2017 with a star-studded champagne reception and choir. I was invited to join in the fun with an overnight stay, giving me chance to also explore the world-renowned book town of Hay-on-Wye.

A narrowboat holiday in Wales is something I've wanted to do since the days of Rosie and Jim in the 90's. It wasn't until last week I finally got the chance, thanks to an invite from Beacon Park Boats. Located in the quaint village of Llangattock on the Brecon and Monmouthshire canal, the wharf holds an growing fleet of over 17 luxury narrowboats.

At 27 metres (or 90 feet), Henrhyd Waterfall is the tallest in South Wales. Cradled in the valley of Nant Llech to the west of Brecon Beacons National Park, its mystical quality has even caught the attention of Hollywood!
