Abergavenny Food Festival Preview (+Win Entry Wristbands!)

Abergavenny Food Market

The Abergavenny Food Festival is the longest running and biggest festival of its kind in Wales that comes around the peak of harvest season. The wonderful market town in Monmouthshire is welcoming back visitors on the 16th and 17th September 2017 for a weekend of foodie fun.

THE FOOD MARKETS
The Victorian market is already a year-round attraction, featuring in my top places to visit in Abergavenny. The food festival expands on this with a mouth-watering selection of producers bringing together a Fish and Fizz Market, Cheese and Wine Market and more.

FAMILY-FRIENDLY FUN
Throughout the two days there will also be Chef demonstrations, forages and other activities in and around the centre for the whole family. The festival are offering free kids cookery classes, a farmyard takeover and picnics - something I loved doing with my family in the grounds of Abergavenny Castle.

WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES
You can strengthen your own cooking, food photography and writing talents through masterclasses and tasting workshops.
A quick glance of the itinerary had my tastebuds tingling at Marc Dermaquette's 'Chocolate Curiosities' class and Elly Pear's 'Let's Eat' cooking demonstration. Other speakers include Irish Chef Darina Allen, Jay Rayner (writer and journalist) and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall (River Cottage).
You can view the full schedule, speakers and purchase tickets on the Abergavenny Food Festival website

I've partnered with Abergavenny Food Festival to offer one of my readers two weekend wristbands that'll give you access to the event. To enter, simply like my Facebook post about the Festival and click here for full terms and conditions.
