Birmingham Christmas Market is one of the largest outdoor Christmas Markets in Britain with 180 wooden chalets lining the streets of the city centre.
The hustle and bustle of New Street leads up to the main square where the majority of the Christmas market stalls are based. It’s an amazing atmosphere, as you pass the stalls you get wafts of toasting nuts, chocolate and freshly made crêpes.
Themed after the popular Christmas markets in Germany, many of the Birmingham stalls have traditional German dishes like Bratwurst, gingerbread and burgers served with sliced potatoes and garlic sauce – groß!

The northern side of the square leads on to a craft fair selling unique handmade gifts like bags and rugs.
The market usually remains open until around the week of Christmas Day. If you’d like some more information, visit the Frankfurt Christmas Market Birmingham website.
