This time last year (after weeks of deliberating), I started blogging under the title “Explore With Ed“, a place where I could share my love of travel and food through my passion for photography and film.
What I didn’t realise at the time is the amazing opportunities and experiences the next twelve months would bring. I want to share with you some highlights from Explore With Ed’s first year and thank you for your continued support.

Wally's Deli & Kaffeehaus, Viennesse, Royal Arcade, Cardiff
Castell Coch, Cardiff, Enchanted Castle

Eight Enchanting Places to Explore Around Cardiff” – Collaboration with Expedia Ireland.

I started the year by sharing reviews on local cafés, restaurants and places like St Fagan’s Museum, Parc Pantry and Wally’s Deli & Kaffeehaus (pictured above).

I also took up an opportunity to enjoy a masterclass with Gennaro Contaldo in Jamie’s Italian with a few bloggers and journalists – brilliant fun!

Meeting fellow bloggers at many events and launches has been (and continues to be) a real pleasure. The community is very open and friendly and I’m really proud to be part of it.

Bluestone lodges, Holiday Resort, Pembrokeshire

Tenby Harbour, Pretty Houses

In the spring I reviewed Bluestone Holiday Resort in Pembrokeshire with my family. It was here in the glorious sunshine I was inspired to share ‘Six Reasons to Visit Tenby…’.
The feedback on social media was overwhelming (49,000 people reached on Facebook with over 2,000 total likes, shares and comments).

It was a joy to see how many people loved reminiscing and sharing stories of childhood holidays in this beautiful town.

As many of you are aware, I love to cruise. It combines my love for exploring and fantastic food. Over the past year I’ve been invited onboard P&O’s brand new Britannia, the refurbished Explorer of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) and more recently the Norwegian Epic from Rome to Barcelona

I also shared my holiday experience onboard the innovative Anthem of the Seas in June. The ship tour video for this has amassed almost 90,000 views to date!

I feel very lucky to have been involved in a few of The Celtic Manor Resort’s amazing events over the past year.

The warmth and friendliness I’ve received from the staff here is second to none.
