February 2021 • P&O announces newest ship to be named 'Arvia'
P&O Cruises have announced their second LNG-powered Excel class ship is to be named Arvia.
Arvia, meaning “from the seashore” will be the sister ship to Iona and is set to join P&O's fleet in December 2022.

On Sunday 16th May P&O Cruises launched their newest flagship, Iona, following the ship's arrival in home port of Southampton. Hosted by Jo Whiley, the ceremony featured a music set from Gary Barlow, with Godmother Dame Irene Hayes officially christening the ship with a bottle of Alex James' Britpop Cider smashing against Iona's bow.
