Sponsored posts and Advertisement features (#Ad):

I will clearly state in the blog post if I have been paid by a business, brand or organisation to mention or feature them in the blog post. Payment may refer to money or payment in kind through things like gifted products and hotel stays. This will be disclosed at the top of the post or before the business, brand or organisation is first mentioned.

Advertisement features may involve using specific words, phrases and links that are pre-approved with the company, brand or organisation. The company, brand or organisation may also be sent the post before publishing for approval. Blog posts specifically created for advertising a business, brand or organisation will also be labelled with #Ad above the title of the blog post. The #Ad label above the title may also be used to show that there’s a brand/business/organisation mentioned in the post that I’ve previously worked with in some way or have an ongoing relationship with. Alternatively the #Ad or ‘Ad/AD’ label may be used within a blog post where or before the brand/business/organisation is mentioned. Whether a post is an advertisement feature or sponsored, I am committed to creating high quality, relevant and valuable content for my readers.

Sponsored posts and advertisement features may also include links to the relevant business, brand or organisation’s website, social media channels or competitions. The content on these external sites or pages are not my responsibility and do not necessarily reflect my own views, and the external website will have its own set of terms, privacy and cookie policies that you should be aware of upon viewing.

Affiliate links and affiliate widgets:

If I refer to a brand, product or service using affiliate links or affiliate widgets I will disclose this before the affiliate link or affiliate widget in the blog post or page using Ad, #Ad or information about the affiliate scheme, such as stating links marked with an asterisk (*) are affiliate links and what this means (for example: I may earn a commission from any sales made through these links). An affiliate link or affiliate widget means that I may earn a commission in the form of money, coupons/vouchers or other incentives (like discounts) from you clicking on the affiliate link or interacting with the affiliate widget. This is usually, but not necessarily entirely, as a result of you making a purchase from the website that has been referred to using the affiliate link or affiliate widget within a set time period which is determined by the brand, business or organisation. Unless otherwise stated this comes at no extra cost to you and the money I earn from affiliate links and affiliate widgets helps towards the running of this website. Please visit my privacy policy for more information on affiliates.

Restaurant reviews and invites:

If I’m reviewing or featuring a restaurant or business I’ll make it clear in the blog if I’ve been invited as a guest and received the food and drink complimentary or at a discount. All opinions given in any review or feature are my own unless otherwise stated. Information provided such as menu prices is deemed correct at the time of posting, however this cannot be guaranteed.

Guest bloggers and contributors:

I occasionally feature other bloggers or contributions from brands, businesses and organisations that I believe would appeal to my readers. The guest blogger, brand, business or organisation is responsible for all the content they provide to me. Therefore, I will not be liable for copyright claims against any content (such as pictures, video and writing) that has been provided to me in good faith. I’ll respond accordingly to any claim to seek a resolution which may legally require the removal of the content from my site or amending the credits within the post. The opinions of the guest blogger or company do not reflect my own views.

Terms and conditions for competitions hosted on my site will be given in the relevant blog post or linked to on a separate page or external website. If the competition is part of an advertisement feature with a brand, business or organisation then please be aware of their website terms and policies if you have to visit an external website in order to enter or access the terms and conditions.

Comment section:

Comments made on blog posts will be made public after reviewing them for spam, profanity or offensive language. The published comments are the author’s own views and responsibility. By commenting, you agree that I may use your comment in part or in whole on my site, my blog posts or social media accounts.

Unless stated in the blog post (usually beneath the image as a caption), I’m the copyright holder of all texts, photos and videos on my site and all rights are reserved. If you’d like to publish, reproduce, copy or download any part of my site, you must seek my consent first.

Photography and video editing:

Please be aware I may edit or enhance images and videos on my site in order to fulfil my own creative vision. I avoid making any major modifications of images (such as altering the appearance of a place significantly), but I will occasionally edit images to remove minor elements that I think detract from the overall image, such as blurring/removing members of the public and rubbish bins.

Privacy Statement:
