I recently collaborated with a good friend of mine to create a Chritmaadvert! I had loads of fun working on this project as it combines a few passions of mine; filmmaking, Christmas… and food!
Both staff and friends of Foxy’s Deli & Café in Penarth (just outside of Cardiff, South Wales) had ideas to create a short festive flick that stood against the stress/rush of Christmas dinner shopping. They wanted to show a young family’s perspective of this annual tradition, unveiling the festive fun to behold at Foxy’s in comparison to the supermarket.
All images are taken by my working partner (the cinematographer) which I then edited to make the above clip.
The whole project took just under ONE week to complete – from initial meeting to delivery (including just three hours of filming). If you’d like a similar video for your business, or perhaps know someone who does – the email to get in touch is HERE.
As you step off the train at Penarth (only minutes from Cardiff Central station), this warm and inviting view greets you just over the road.
The shop sells a large variety of food, from local cheese and chutney’s to pasties and pies. As parents shop for their Christmas goods, the children can enjoy hot chocolate, marshmallows and perhaps even cake!
Foxy’s staff offer a personal and friendly service, attracting a loyal local following (and even some TV personalities).
