Cardiff Airport recently announced new direct flights to the Middle East starting May 2018, connecting the region to far flung destinations like Australia and China via Doha. In September they hosted a giveaway to win 2 Qatar Flights to one of six long-haul destinations!

Events like The Cruise Show and Luxury Travel Fair are really useful for obtaining up to date information from industry experts. I always feel inspired after engaging with someone face to face about travel and enjoying hands on experiences at these shows like virtual reality, food tastings and quizzes.

If you’re unfamiliar with Stumble Upon, it’s a tool that randomly loads a website based on your likes and interests. By selecting the travel category I’m instantly presented with blogs and articles like The Wonders of Petra by Landlopers and World of Wanderlust’s guide to Secret Small Towns in Europe.
TRAVEL AGENTS
I recently met with Kuoni who have a base in Cardiff’s John Lewis and heard how a customer can have a more personal experience in-store over booking online because of the ability to tailor make your holiday over a glass of bubbly. They do this by pairing the customer with an agent who’s clued up about your areas of interest, often drawing from their own experiences.
From my experience Kuoni is great for honeymooners and luxury seekers, Virgin Holidays for long haul destinations and family trips to Florida, and travel agents like Thomas Cook and Thomson for budget-friendly package holidays and all inclusive deals.
ASK FAMILY & FRIENDS
For unrestraint and totally honest advice, your nearest and dearest are sometimes the best people to ask, after all they know your likes and dislikes and can suggest accordingly from their own experiences.
