Cardiff Winter Wonderland Giant Wheel

From November to January ever year, Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland returns to the city hall lawn. Here’s some of the best things to do on your trip to Winter Wonderland…

Enjoy a birds eye of the city at night…

The Giant Ferris Wheel in Cardiff

Every year you can expect to see one ride that soars high into the night sky, giving riders the best view of Cardiff’s most famous landmarks like the city hall, national museum and castle.

Go Ice-skating…

Cardiff Winter Wonderland Undercover Ice Skating Rink

As you’ll already know the weather in Wales is not so dependable, especially in winter. Fortunately the large Ice Rink is undercover meaning there’s never a bad time to don your festive jumpers and ice skates.

Treat yourself to a German Hotdog…

Cosy up inside the Alpine cabin…

One of my favourite spots at Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland is the wooden chalet and bar. After a good hour of skating it’s the perfect place to warm up over a mulled wine or hot chocolate.

Hurtle down the Helterskelter…

Donate to charity…

Cancer Research Wales, Charity of the Year at Cardiff's Winter Wonderland

Christmas is often referred to as a time of giving, so supporting Cardiff Winter Wonderland’s Charity of the Year is an easy and worthwhile way to counterbalance the season’s temptation to over-indulge.
