Parc Pantry is an award winning coffee shop and delicatessen located in the Malpas area of Newport, South Wales which offers fresh sandwiches, soups, cakes and more.
The Pantry opened in summer 2014 by two friends and foodies Matt and Ant, and has since gone from strength to strength; picking up a local V Award and opening a second Tea Rooms in Belle Vue.
On my first visit I enjoyed a very filling classic ham and cheese sandwich, along with a rich and indulgent orange hot chocolate.
I admire the Matt and Ant’s fresh take on the traditional coffee shop as the Malpas pantry offers an eclectic mix of gifts, furniture and food ready to purchase; birthday cards, mugs, Welsh cheese, even the table you’re eating off!
Their care and passion for sourcing good quality and original products is obvious, and I’ve enjoyed several visits since with friends who quickly became fans too.
On another trip I enjoyed some American Pancakes with a friend who opted for the breakfast toastie, or rather “THE” breakfast toastie as it’s everything you’d need to fuel a busy working day. The thick doorstep bread is loaded with grilled bacon, chorizo, emmental cheese and served with a pot of tomato chutney.
Parc Pantry have also started doing office deliveries meaning local businesses can have a lunch to be envied without, as they put it, “the stress of the lunchtime dash”. If I’ve tempted you into visiting, the café, shop and deli is located just off the main road in Malpas.
All opinions are my own.
I’ve recently had another guest post published by the world renowned Celtic Manor Resort – host of the Nato Summit and Ryder Cup. Foodie fans, take a look at my lamb masterclass blog here: Celtic Manor Blog.
